Amazon’s new action MMORPG was supposed to launch tomorrow on PS5 and XBox – but nothing will happen

Amazon canceled the closed beta of New World: Aeternum shortly before launch. The action MMORPG was supposed to be the new version of the Steam hit New World. But shortly before launch there was a delay.

That was the plan:

  • The beta for New World: Aeternum was supposed to start on July 11 on PS5 and Xbox Series S/X
  • The beta should then run until July 17 and give console players on Xbox and PlayStation a chance to play the new game
  • But now Amazon has cancelled the beta shortly before launch
  • Trailer for New World Aeternum announces console version

    This is how it is now: The The new beta is now scheduled to start on July 25th and run until July 31st.

    No reason is given for this delay, but Amazon simply says that they are working hard on the beta and want to offer everyone the best possible experience.
