Amazons forgotten fantasy series gets season 2 after 4 years

Long before The Lord of the Rings: The Power Rings, another fantasy series wowed Amazon subscribers. Carnival Row took viewers into a magical Victorian world at the hands of Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne. After four years, season 2 is finally here. And that’s the end of the series.

Amazon delivers Carnival Row season 2 and ends the fantasy series

This is reported by the Hollywood Reporter, among others. Accordingly, season 2 of the series on February 17, 2023 start in the Amazon offer. Delevingne and Bloom will return as Inspector Rycroft Philostrate and Fee Vignette Stonemoss.

It is not known why the fantasy series, which was popular at the time of season 1, should now end with season 2. According to the Hollywood Reporter there were creative differences behind the scenes, which explains both the long wait of four years and the showrunner change of personnel. Instead of Marc Guggenheim (Arrow) and Travis Beacham (Pacific Rim), Erik Oleson (Marvel’s Daredevil) is now responsible for the series.

Hopefully fans can look forward to a gripping finale despite the exchange on the executive floor. Toward the end of season one, the assassination plot against the magical creatures of the Carnival Row world was at least partially unraveled. The new season should now tell the story of the fantasy series to the end in 10 episodes.
