It’s official, the TV series for God of War is going into production. It is Amazon Prime Video which makes it known on its social networks, proud to have been able to inherit the project, the platform of Jeff Bezos having been in competition with other actors in the field. The talks started last March have therefore materialized, knowing that it is indeed Rafe Judkins (The Wheel of Time) who will occupy the position of showrunner, while Mark Fergus and Hawk Otsby (Iron Man, The Sons of Men, The Expanse) will handle the script. If the three men will also be in production, they will also be supported by Cory Barlog, creative director at Santa Monica Studio and director of the 2018 reboot. A guarantee of quality that recalls what HBO did with The Last of Us by appealing to Neil Druckmann, who incidentally directed at least one episode of the TV series. There is therefore a desire to remain extremely faithful to the source material, knowing that the story of this TV series will take over that of 2018’s God of War. We will follow the adventures of Kratos and Atreus in this quest for redemption and of understanding, with Nordic gods who want to find out with the new god of war who single-handedly wiped out all of Olympus. It remains to be seen who will be chosen to embody Kratos, he who alone represents authority. Fingers crossed for an exceptional result
