It does not often happen that two film series based on the same template are published at the same time-and that also with the same streaming service. However, Amazon Prime sees no problem in this and gave a remedy one of its greatest hits green light. From now on you can stream the remake.
We are talking about Culpa Mia-my fault: London, an English-language adaptation of the Culpables novels by Mercedes Ron. The story originally comes from Spain and was first filmed there: Culpa Mia-my guilt broke various streaming records in 2023 and has already received a sequel.
New at Amazon Prime: The London version of the dramatic Culpa Mia history
Even before the end of the original series, Amazon Prime now releases the remake and relocates the plot to the UK. Apart from that, not too much has changed. The new film takes up the most important figures and narrative strands, which were also an integral part of the books and the Spanish film adaptation.

The premise already sounds very familiar. The official synopsis says:
When Noah’s mother Ella fell in love with the very wealthy William, the two move from America to London to live with William and his son Nick. When she arrived, 18-year-old Noah meets Bad Boy Nick and the two of them immediately feel drawn to each other.
And so the story continues:
Noah spends the summer to adapt to her new life, to find new friends from Nick’s different circles and to have a complicated relationship with him while fighting to keep the attraction in chess. After all, Noah is forced to deal with her devastating past while falling in love for the first time.
The biggest change that comes to us next to the scene is the cast. None of the stars of the original return for the remake. Instead, the London version relies on fresh faces. Below you will find the most important names of the line -up:
The Culpables films are a single success story and an end is not in sight
Even the novels, which originally appeared on the Wattpad online platform, mark a success story. Before Mercedes Ron got up, she was the author of a virtual bestseller who has now also appeared in traditional form. The previous films also made headlines.
Both Culpa Mia-my guilt (2023) and Culpa Tuya-your guilt (2024) became the most viewed international films in Amazon Prime in the years of their publication. This is particularly noteworthy at Culpa Tuya, because it started only four days before the end of his year of publication.
No wonder that Amazon wants to connect this success as soon as possible. It is nothing unusual that streaming services will expand their franchises with various spin-offs to other countries. At Amazon Prime we last experienced this with the Citadel series. A direct remake like Culpa Mia is rare.
