Amazon is reissuing legendary body horror and the first
David Cronenberg (The Fly) is considered a master of body horror with his uniquely gory and often disturbing visions. One of his cult films will be implemented as a series adaptation on Amazon Prime in three weeks: Dead Ringers tells the story with Die Mummy star Rachel Weisz a tale of childbirth, twins, surgery and madness. After a short teaser, the first trailer is now available.

Mummy star Rachel Weisz becomes a demented gynecologist in Dead Ringers

Twins Beverly and Elliot Mantle (both Weisz) are brilliant gynecologists who at times share not only their profession and practice, but also their lovers due to their resemblance. A romantic adventure eventually resolves though Desperation, drugs and disturbing experiments lead to a downward spiral in the operating room.

The Amazon series is one Series adaptation of the cult film of the same name in the original. Jeremy Irons (Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice) played the twin gynecologists.

When is the horror series Dead Ringers coming to Amazon Prime Video?

Dead Ringers will be released on April 21, 2023 on Amazon Prime Video and will consist of six episodes, all available from launch date. In addition to Weisz, Emily Meade (The Leftovers) is in front of the camera.
