Amazon Games will reportedly be the publisher of Throne and Liberty, the MMORPG fans are most anticipating in 2023.

What game is it?

  • The MMORPG is being developed by the Korean studio NCSoft, which also produced Aion, Blade & Soul and Lineage.
  • Throne and Liberty is based on an open game world in which movement should play an important role – players can use climbing hooks or transform themselves into water and flying animals.
  • Instead of fixed classes, weapons should determine your playstyle
  • The release was originally supposed to be in 2022, but was pushed back to 2023. The release is planned for PC and console.

    • What is Amazon’s role in Throne and Liberty? As a South Korean news site (via m.yna.co.kr) reports, Amazon Games is said to be the publisher of the MMORPG Throne and Liberty in many countries.

    We do not currently have an official press release from NCSoft or Amazon Games (as of February 22, 2023, 12:30 p.m.). The information should therefore still be viewed with a pinch of skepticism.

    How much do MMORPG fans expect the game to be? Throne and Liberty is considered the biggest MMORPG to be released in 2023 and the great hope of the genre.

    There are numerous indications that many MMORPG fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Throne and Liberty and looking forward to the title. In addition to numerous positive comments, this also includes the number of views of a trailer from 2022. In just under 11 months, the video collected a strong 9.3 million clicks (via YouTube).

    In addition, Throne and Liberty took 1st place in a survey on MeinMMO, in which we wanted to know from you which MMORPG you are most looking forward to in 2023.

    The poll received a total of 4,875 votes. 31% of MeinMMO readers chose Throne and Liberty (1,951 votes), followed by Blue Protocol with 19% (1,178 votes) and in a distant third place Odin: Valhalla Rising with 9% (539 votes).

    Amazon Games collects large MMORPGs. When Amazon Games becomes the publisher of Throne and Liberty, the company will add another large and significant MMORPG to its collection.

    Amazon Games has already acted as a publisher for Lost Ark in the West and has even brought its own MMORPG onto the market with New World. The company is also the publisher of the anime MMORPG Blue Protocol, which is also scheduled for release in 2023 and ranked second behind Throne and Liberty in our survey.
