Amazon Games director leaves the company after 9 years
Michael Frazzini announced that he was leaving the company with the following sentences:
” Although it is impossible to find the best time to leave a great role, I can say that it is at least the right moment for now. We have managed to launch 2 very successful games in the last 6 months and we have strengthened our hand with the games on the way.”
Michael Frazzini was head of the firm’s book division before being appointed head of Amazon’s newly created game studio in 2009. Amazon’s game studio had canceled many projects until New World and Lost Ark arrived.
The most well-known of these, canceled Lord of the Rings MMO and the Overwatch-like game Crucible was shut down shortly after release.
Although the release of New World made a big splash for Amazon, the game later went into decline. But their other MMO, Lost Ark, still hasn’t lost much of its popularity.
