Bridgerton replacement My Lady Jane canceled: This is what the Amazon series was about
My Lady Jane revolves around the real-life Lady Jane Grey, the so-called Nine-Day Queen – and gives her an alternative historical narrative that does not stick too closely to the actual story. And not just because some of the characters in the format can transform into animals.

In her Amazon series, Jane (Emily Bader) is to be sold to Lord Guildford Dudley (Edward Bluemel) in the 16th century. Despite the attractive man, she is not at all enthusiastic about the arranged marriage, especially since her husband-to-be is keeping a secret that could also be her undoing. In addition, she has to deal with a murderous plot against her cousin King Edward.
According to Deadline’s report, the Amazon series suffered in terms of viewership, but enjoyed largely positive reviewsas the review scores on Rotten Tomatoes show. Collider, for example, wrote: “My Lady Jane is fully committed to the heart and message of the story it wants to tell, and comedy and romance are masterfully integrated.”
Does the Amazon series My Lady Jane end on a cliffhanger?
Yes and no. It is said at the end that the story is not over yet, but Lady Jane and her love interest are granted a little happy ending at the end of the first season. If you want to see for yourself, you only have to watch eight episodes on Amazon.
