The sequel to the musical psychological thriller starring Joaquin Phoenix has a trailer, just a few months before its theatrical release.
He’s back to terrorize Gotham. Warner Bros. unveiled this Wednesday, July 23, the trailer for Joker: Madness for Twocontinuation of thriller psychological thriller directed by Todd Philips and which caused a sensation when it was released in 2019. Joaquin Phoenix takes on the role of Arthur Fleck, better known under the pseudonym of the Joker, and faces in this film the actress and singer Lady Gagawho will play Harley Quinn.
This trailer reveals one of the aspects of the film already announced, but never yet shown on screen: Joker 2 will be a musical! In these first images, we can discover the trial of Arthur Fleck, but also the full extent of the violence and madness of this new duo who do not hesitate to dance and sing, while the boundaries between fiction and reality seem to be increasingly blurred. The feature film has been selected for the Venice Film Festival, next September, where it will be presented in competition.
Let’s remember that the first episode had already won the Golden Lion, before being a real box office success (more than a billion dollars worldwide).
