On the flight from Jordao, in Acre state, in the westernmost part of Brazil, to Rio Branco, the capital of Acre, the handrail hit the propeller of the engine after the plane’s door opened. Shocking footage shows the two passengers holding the door that remains open. Passengers reportedly continued to hold the door until the plane landed.

In the footage quickly shared by local media outlets, the passengers seem quite calm despite the danger on board. Incredibly, no injuries were reported on the plane.
According to one of the unnamed passengers, the door opened after one of the support wires broke. They said another passenger had taken off and, as seen in the footage, they met with a man and kept the door closed.
THEY KEPT DURING 20 MINUTES
The flight, reportedly operated by Rio Branco Aerotaxi, took off from Jordao at 12:30 before landing at 14:30. They reportedly held the door for 20 minutes, with the pilot shutting off the left engine after the handrail of the door hit the propeller.
