In 2021, the US drama series Always there for you started on Netflix. The film adaptation of Kristin Hannah’s novel The girls from Firefly Lane was created by Maggie Friedman and tells the story of two best friends who overcome the challenges of their lives together.
Tully and Kate are the protagonists of Always There for You. They are played by Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke. After the second half of season 2 was released in April 2023, many fans of the series are wonderingwhen and how the story continues. However, there will be no third season.
Always There For You Season 3: Netflix ended the series for a reason
Netflix already announced in October 2022 that Always There for You will end with the second season. After 26 episodes it’s over. Season 3 didn’t get the green light. There is a specific reason for this: the series has already reached the end of the book template and has therefore found a natural conclusion.

Will Like a Star in the Night become a Netflix series after The Girls from Firefly Lane?
After the first novel was filmed in two seasons, it actually makes sense to film the sequel as well. So far, however, Netflix has no concrete plans to turn Like a Star in the Night into a series.
