“Already from tomorrow morning we have an extensive rain area moving in from the south over Scania. The rain then slowly moves up over large parts of Götaland and south-eastern Svealand at lunchtime, says Marie Staerkmeteorologist at SMHI.
It is a rainy area with heavy streaks of rain and an increased risk of thunder, especially in southeastern Götaland and Öland. The storm is expected to reach Gotland only during the evening.
“In many places there can be large amounts of rain with between 30 and 60 millimeters of rain,” says Marie Staerk.
The yellow warning applies to the entire area of southern Sweden and eastern Svealand.
In the northern parts of the country, there may be scattered showers interspersed with sunshine during the course of the day.
