Dead Island 2 may have taken 10 years to come out, but it was expected by an entire community. Deep Silver has just announced that the game has already sold more than a million copies for its first weekend of operation (three days to be exact. The success is therefore colossal and the German publisher take the opportunity to reveal other figures here:
– 11 million hours played in total.
– 28 million player deaths in total (i.e. twice the number of inhabitants of Los Angeles).
– 45 million zombies sliced in half.
– 756 million dismemberments.
– 1.1 billion zombies slaughtered.
We remind you that on Metacritic, Dead Island finished its run at 74%, a correct but not extravagant score, also because the game shows a gameplay that is a little too old school, undoubtedly linked to its chaotic production. But for a title that looked like a Frankenstein project, it does pretty well.
