Alpine: Success for Sara Hector – second in the giant slalom

Sara Hector’s season in giant slalom continues to roll along nicely. After the victory in American Killington at the end of November, the 32-year-old was able to follow up with a second place in today’s competition in Semmering.

She was 57 hundredths behind the winner Federica Brignone, Italy. Second was Alice Robinson from New Zealand.

Second place is the best result in this particular track for Hector. Before the competition, she had finished eighth at the highest.

Estelle Alphand finished in 25th place – 3.66 seconds behind Brignone.
