Alpine skiing: Anna Swenn-Larsson third in Kranjska Gora

She was responsible for a first run which meant a fourth place with hitting position before the decision.

Anna Swenn-Larsson then acted steadily in the second race and climbed up to a podium place. She finished third.

– I have even more in my body, I feel that maybe I didn’t really dare to let go of everything I had because I wanted to get a result. The fact that I came third is great fun, she tells SVT Sport.

Swenn-Larsson continues:

– My God. I’m on the podium, and so was Sara yesterday, she’s absolutely outstanding. There are not many who can oppose her.

The Croatian Zrinka Ljutic won the competition, 1.19 seconds ahead of the Swede. In second place was Wendy Holdener, Switzerland, 16 hundredths behind the winner.

The win is Ljutic’s second in a row in the slalom cup. In connection with those competitions, she has had the fastest ride time in all four races.

33-year-old Swenn-Larsson has previously landed a podium place in slalom this season. She finished second in Killington, USA, in December.

It is the second blue-yellow success of the weekend. Sara Hector won the giant slalom competition on Saturday.

In today’s slalom competition, Hector finished sixth. She was 1.96 seconds behind the winner.
