Alexis Pinturault will not be able to defend the alpine-combined World Championship or the Super Superman bronze medal in February in the Saalbach-Hinterglm World Championships.
Alpine skiing French star Alexis Pinturault’n The season is over due to a leg injury. According to the French Ski Association (FFS), Pinturault has a fracture of the tibia and needs an estimated six weeks before the actual rehabilitation begins.
Last Friday, Pinturault fell drastically out in the World Cup supernatural rally in Kitzbühel, Austria. He was taken from the slope to a helicopter to the hospital.
Pinturault, 33, severely injured his knees in January 2024 and did not return to the World Cup until December.
In his career, the French star has won three world championships and the World Cup overall in 2021. He has three Olympic medals.
The Alpine Skiing World Championships will be counted from 4 to 16th. February in Saalbach-Hinterglem, Austria.
