Alpine: Sara Hector far behind in the first giant slalom run

The Swede is 1.61 behind leader Mikaela Shiffrin, who started very first in the first run. It was in the long steep par that Hector lost to take in a little on the final flat part.

– She looks a bit passive, says Viaplay’s expert Jessica Lindell Vikarby about Hector’s effort on the Austrian glacier.

Shiffrin looked to be taking it very easy and above all had a quick finish on the lower steep and flat. The American, who has a record 97 World Cup victories, smiled after her opening run.

Four other Swedes come from starting number 45.

The second run begins at 1 p.m. To the results.

The first ride is underway.
