After the A290 model, Alpine previewed the A390_β demonstration vehicle, the second model of the fully electric Dream Garage series.
Alpine Türkiye had the following to say about the A390_β demonstration vehicle: “The preliminary presentation of the A390_β model, the second model of the Dream Garage series, symbolizing Alpine’s transition to electric models, was held in Paris. After the introduction of Dream Garage’s first model, A290, now the concept vehicle of the Coupe SUV model A390 has been introduced. Alpine, known for its motor sports experience, has thus taken an important step for daily use. Designed as a 5-seat Coupe SUV, the A390_β is a preview of the sports fastback approach in Alpine’s future vision. Alpine will start mass production for the A390_β model at the historic Dieppe factory in France from 2025.

A390_β has a very nice design that contains many traces of Alpine’s classic exterior appearance and does not deviate from the spirit of Alpine in this sense. In the model, whose exterior design is inspired by water drops and the rims are inspired by the crystal appearance of snowflakes, the dynamism added by the Alpine Blue color and the play of light gives the A390_β a striking appearance. Underneath the front and rear lighting strip, illuminated triangles called “Cosmic Dust” resemble a comet piercing the atmosphere.
The illuminated light strip compatible with the rear diffuser can be extended or retracted by 80 mm. Thus, it enables A390_β to transform from a “short-tailed” design to a “long-tailed” design. This extension feature reduces the aerodynamic drag coefficient and increases the vehicle’s driving range. Designed in the form of a sports fastback, the model combines fluidity and sportiness with spaciousness. The silhouette produced by the inclined rear window, which looks like a continuous line, improves the aerodynamic performance of the vehicle. The exterior design of the A390_β was designed to remain 85% faithful to the exterior design of the mass-produced model.
In the interior design of the A390_β, contrast details and duality are at the forefront. The colorful exterior of the model contrasts with the monochrome interior, while the sharp black mineral contrasts with the flawless snow-white color. The interior of the A390_β is designed in pure white, like an Alpine-inspired mountain landscape.
In the model with doors opening in the opposite direction and no B-pillar, the cockpit promises the driver an “integration” experience. Three glass panels placed one behind the other, just behind the steering wheel, create a holographic effect for dynamic and multi-dimensional reading of driving information.
The A390_β’s steering is directly inspired by Formula 1. Standing out with its compact, technical and precise design, the steering wheel allows the driver to switch between daily and sporty driving experiences. To operate the A390_β, an ice crystal that acts as a key is placed in the middle of the steering wheel. Thus, the ice crystal placed in the heart of the A390_β brings the vehicle to life.
To fully enjoy the sporty experience, the Alpine design team used a Formula 1 racing seat when developing the A390_β driver’s seat. This innovative seat offers two different driving positions for two types of use: daily use or sporty use. In daily use, when the seat position is higher and the pedals are closer to the ground; In sporty use, it takes the F1 position, the pedals rise and the steering wheel becomes harder.
Unlike the driver-oriented front, the rear emphasizes comfort. Memory foam was used in the rear seats to maximize in-car comfort. In the middle part, a cube in the form of a hologram was positioned to appeal to the rear passengers. Speakers at the top of the seat, surrounded by ice blocks, ensure that the sound is reflected from the front seats to the rear seats, providing an immersive sound experience. “Stratasys crystals on the ceiling of the rear area evoke the sparkle of snow under the sun’s rays.”
