Alpine: Moved Alexander Steen Olsen celebrated wildly after the rattles: “He’s sick in the head”

Before the victory in Schladming, the last big slalom competition for the World Cup in Saalbach, the Norwegian had this line in Grand Slalom and slalom: 26, expired, expired, 14, expired and 18th.

When the victory was finished, Steen Olsen threw himself up on a broad advertising barrier that was filled with water and screamed out his joy where a Norwegian double victory together with veteran Henrik Kristoffersen was secured.

– It’s super fat. It is wrestling stuff (a reference to wrestling gate) when he is up there. It was very cool, says national team colleague Atle Lie McGrath to NRK.

Shortened course

The branch’s sovereign Marco Odermatt drove up from twelfth place in the first ride to third place despite a fairly weak ending in its second ride. The conditions were difficult in the track where the start was moved down for safety reasons due to all the rain and gave “slalom times” in the ride.

Steen Olsen had good pressure all the way in the evening competition that has been run since 2023.

– He is completely sick in the head. He just pushes all the way and that is what makes him different from the others and so he is very technically skilled, says McGrath.

No Swedish had to go the second ride. William Hansson drove out in the first (had 40th second middle time) while Mattias Rönngren was 42nd and World Cup debutant Adam Hofstedt 60th.

Tomorrow, an evening slalom will be run in the same course.
