The Alpine A110 E-ternite, which will be put on the stage as a prototype, carries an important message from the future.
Alpine, the sporty representative of the Renault Group, also draws attention with its alternative fuel works for the future of performance cars. In the brand, which also focuses on hydrogen technology, preparations for the transition to a completely electric infrastructure continue in parallel with the general strategy of the group. Carrying the genes of the classic model that left its mark on motor sports to the present, the brand, which is now on the roads with a single model, placed this at the center of the electric prototype it developed. The Alpine A110 E-ternite, which was introduced as a concept, also represents the bond with the future due to the 60th anniversary of the model.

Alpine A110 E-ternite
The infrastructure of the car, which will be displayed for the first time as part of the Formula 1 French Grand Prix, is actually familiar. The engineers, who integrated the system in Megane E-Tech into the A110, spent a lot of time on this system so that it could match the driving dynamics of the vehicle. For this reason, the placement of the battery modules is quite different in the E-ternite project, where weight distribution, which is one of the vital qualities for the A110, is given great attention. We see that a 42/58 weight distribution can be achieved in the final version of the A110 E-ternite, where some modules are positioned at the rear and some at the front. It will be extremely exciting to see the effect on the car after the optimization of the electrical system, which brings an extra 258 kilograms of weight compared to the gasoline version.

When we look at it on a numerical basis, we see that the car has 242 PS power and 300 Nm torque through the single electric motor located at the rear. With all the parts coming together, acceleration from 0 to 100 takes 4.5 seconds for the A110 E-ternite, while the maximum speed that can be reached is 250 km/h. Let’s not forget that the acceleration from 0 to 100 in the standard version is 4.2 seconds. The range value of the electric A110, where the Alpine front includes a battery with a capacity of 60 kWh, is 420 kilometers, which is not bad in daily use. The A110 E-ternite, in which all the infrastructure elements such as the gear system, suspensions and sway bar are made, manages to increase the expectations from the brand for the upcoming period.
