Alpha Blondy, the eternally committed – You will tell me about it

Alpha Blondy the eternally committed You will tell me

Alpha Blondy is an African reggae legend. Eternal activist, the Ivorian singer returns today with a 20th album called “Eternity”. A double disc which brings together 18 committed titles, as usual.

In the album cover, he is seen in a white suit and keffiyeh, with a soldier’s helmet and a tunic with the insignia of peace on the chest. We also see him with his cap and his broad smile, or even bareheaded kissing a dolphin. He always appears with his dark glasses and rasta hat.

Different costumes, but the same success for 40 years, since he became an icon of African reggae, and reggae in general. 40 years that he denounces injustices and is committed to peace, harmony, for Africa too.

Alpha Blondy is the guest of VMDN. He comes to present his new album, a double CD called “Eternity” already available digitally. It will be in stores next Friday, June 24th.

Reportage : Also in music news, the 27th edition of the Rio Loco festival, dedicated to current world music, ended last night in Toulouse, in the south west of France, after 5 evenings of concerts. Hortense Vollé tells us about the event.
