Almost nothing stands in the way of Tarantinos big farewell

Some stars make one film after another. But Leonardo DiCaprio doesn’t need that. The Oscar winner occasionally goes years between acting projects. For example, since Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood from way back in 2019, he has only appeared in two films. After the end of the press tour for Killers of the Flower Moon However, he already has his eye on the next projectas he now reveals.

This is what DiCaprio revealed about his new film

Leonardo DiCaprio was interviewed by Deadline along with Killers co-star Lily Gladstone. In the interview he talked about his future plans:

I have [ein neues Projekt]but I think, I’m not allowed to talk about it. I really want to, but I don’t think I’m allowed. I would like to give you an exclusive report, but I can’t.

The actor’s lips remain sealed, but which films are actually being considered for the Killers of the Flower Moon successor?

Is Leonardo DiCaprio part of Tarantino’s farewell film?

First on the wish list of many Quentin Tarantino fans is The Movie Critic. DiCaprio has previously worked with the writer-director in Django Unchained and One Upon a Time…. Why not also for the supposedly last film that Tarantino wants to make in his career?

Based on the timing, The Movie Critic could be on the actor’s to-do list. In November, well-connected insider Daniel Richtman (via World of Reel) reported that Leonardo DiCaprio was offered a role in The Movie Critic. These were just rumors. Given the past of the two creatives, these are not exactly absurd. After the end of the double strike of actors and writers in Hollywood, casting work is picking up speed again, casting news for the new Tarantino film can be expected in the near future.

More about the film:

What other projects could come into play?

But the Tarantino-DiCaprio reunion is not a foregone conclusion. What could be next is a reunion of a different kind. Martin Scorsese is planning a film adaptation of The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny, and Murder. According to initial statements, Scorsese wants to work again with DiCaprio and the streaming service Apple TV+ on the adaptation of the factual book by Killers of the Flower Moon author David Grann.

If there’s anything currently standing in the way of DiCaprio’s involvement in The Movie Critic, it’s the ship adventure. However, it is conceivable that Scorsese’s film will take longer to develop and Leonardo DiCaprio will complete filming with Tarantino beforehand – if he agreed. Scorsese is also linked to a Teddy Roosevelt film (also with DiCaprio), a musical film with Jonah Hill and his Jesus Project.

Of all the projects mentioned, Quentin Tarantino’s new and presumably last film is the closest to realization.
