When it comes to convincing dystopias in the cinema, Andrew Niccol is always a good point of contact. With Gattaca, 25 years ago, he brought an extremely fascinating science fiction film to the screen that fluctuated between oppressive and romantic tones. In 2011 he delivered the captivating sci-fi thriller in time.
After Niccol has examined a two-class society in Gattaca, Time also comes up with an exciting premise that draws the image of an extremely dark future: Lifetime is the most precious currency made. Anyone who is over 25 years old has to fight every further second of their life.

In the world we get to know in time, humanity has made it to stop natural aging processto counteract the overpopulation on earth. Now people have to pay for little things like a coffee with their precious lifetime – and there is not much from this.

At the center of history, Justin Timberlake is a simple worker who desperately tries to escape his (limited) fate. In addition, Amanda Seyfried, Cillian Murphy, Olivia Wilde and Alex Pettyfer are part of the star -picked cast of the film, captivating for 109 minutes.
As with Gattaca, Niccols skillfully expanded pictures of our present with mild futuristic modifications, such as technologically advanced gadgets or digital ads. The future vision through which we hunt here, feels close to grippingWhich makes the basic thought game a trace more stirring.

In Time runs tonight on February 13, 2025 at 11:00 p.m. on VOX. With advertising, the broadcast goes until 01:10. The repetition follows on Saturday at 10:45 p.m. Alternatively, you can watch the film at Disney+ in the streaming subscription.
