Next year, Captain America 4: Brave New World will be the 35th film of the series Marvel Cinematic Universe in cinemas – and there is still no end in sight. For those superhero nerds who want to prepare properly, we recommend a (re)watch of the second MCU film ever: The Incredible Hulk from 2008.
The Phase 1 film by director Louis Leterrier is now conveniently available Amazon Prime Video Streamable by subscription and can be viewed there at any time.
The Incredible Hulk new on Amazon Prime Video: Best preparation for the upcoming MCU film
Anyone who is familiar with the DC Comics about the green colossus Hulk already knows what happened to Dr. What happens to Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) in this film: After he is exposed to dangerous gamma radiation, the otherwise gentle scientist turns into a poisonous green rage monster as soon as he gets angry. He tries to take control of the situation and initially goes into hiding, but then escalates his Hulk persona completely and the military intervenes.
General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross (William Hurt) is subordinate to the British soldier Emil Blonsky (Tim Ross), who also mutates over the course of the film Abomination will take on the Hulk.
In the upcoming Captain America film, Thunderbolt will be portrayed by Harrison Ford and will become the Red Hulk as US President. Back is biologist Betty Ross, played by Liv Tyler, the daughter of the POTUS and (former) partner of Bruce Banner.
Past Hulk film adaptations included the 70s series The Incredible Hulk and the Ang Lee film Hulk from 2003.
When is Captain America 4 coming to cinemas?
The new Captain America film is on February 12, 2025 in German cinemas. Before that, the 34th film from the MCU is coming up. In the same year, Thunderbolts* will also be released in cinemas.
