At least 68 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip on Thursday, according to Gaza authorities.
Among those killed in the Israeli attacks were the head of the Gaza police department under the extremist organization Hamas and the deputy police chief.
Served as chief of police in Gaza Mahmoud Salah and the Deputy Chief of Police Hussam Shahwan were inspecting the Muwasi humanitarian area when an Israeli strike hit the area.
According to the Israeli Armed Forces, the airstrike on Muwas was carried out based on intelligence information. The target of the attack was Shahwan, who, according to the Israeli Armed Forces, led Hamas forces in the southern parts of Gaza.
