A spy -acclaimed man has been executed by hanging in Iran, according to the Iranian judicial service Mizan – while the war between the two enemy countries is raging for a tenth day.
Majid Mosayebi was convicted of trying to submit “sensitive information” to Israel’s intelligence service Mossad.
The man “was hanged this morning after undergoing the entire criminal proceedings and after his judgment was confirmed by the Supreme Court,” Mizan writes.
Iran has arrested several people who are suspected of spying for Israel since the country attacked Iran the night before Friday, June 13.
According to a spokesperson for the judiciary, three arrests took place through “the rapid presence of the population and its assistance to intelligence services, law enforcement authorities and the judiciary”.
One of them is, according to spokesman, European citizen.
Last Monday, another man – also charged with espionage on Mossad’s behalf – was reported to have been executed by hanging.
