Nieuwegein – The municipality of Nieuwegein also wants railway barriers to be installed at the tram crossing on Koekoekslaan, where there was a collision at the beginning of this week. This is announced by responsible alderman Marieke Schouten. Earlier, the province of Utrecht, which is responsible for the tram track, indicated that railway barriers are the best choice to improve safety.
