All physicians were given aesthetic authority! Minister Memişoğlu announced on live broadcast: We will block the stairs

All physicians were given aesthetic authority Minister Memisoglu announced on

Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu answered the questions of NTV Ankara Representative Ahmet Ergen. Minister Memişoğlu, who made a statement about granting aesthetic authority to all physicians, said, “In the past, this authority was given to some of our physicians by providing certification and training to perform such practices. It seems to be under the authority of plastic surgery and dermatology, but these procedures can actually be applied in terms of medicine.”

“IT WAS NOT SOMETHING NEW, IT WAS SOMETHING THAT HAD TO HAPPEN”

Continuing his statements, Minister Memişoğlu said, “We need to think of it as a subcutaneous injection. We have clarified the branches that receive and provide training for this. It is not a new thing, it is something that should be. After a much more important and detailed specialist training such as plastic surgery, it is very important.” “We do not have any restrictions on branches that perform more extreme and specialized transactions,” he said.

“WE WILL BLOCK THE UNDERSTAIRS”

Minister Memişoğlu continued his statements with the following statements:

“It can only be implemented at the stage of specialization in the medical profession by the board that plans the specialization, which we call the medical specialization board, if the relevant branches add it to the core education curriculum.

At the same time, if we are going to make a certification program, we will ensure that what will be given in his training, how this will be done, is determined and given with the program and curriculum. “By increasing the number of physicians who can perform these practices, we will prevent underhandling.”

WHAT HAPPENED?

The “Regulation on Amendments to the Regulation on Private Health Institutions Providing Outpatient Diagnosis and Treatment” prepared by the Ministry of Health was published in the Official Gazette. With the change, the scope of physicians and healthcare institutions that can perform aesthetic applications has been expanded. Previously, only dermatologists, plastic surgeons and physicians with medical aesthetics certificates could perform aesthetic procedures in health institutions, provided that the necessary physical space and minimum medical equipment were provided.

With the change in regulation, physicians who have appropriate medical education curricula or who have gained competence through approved certified training will be able to perform aesthetic procedures in health institutions, provided that the necessary physical space and minimum medical equipment are provided.

The change aims to prevent the problems experienced in the employment of physicians in the public sector, as the scope of practicing physicians has expanded. With the new regulation, the number of health institutions where aesthetic applications can be performed has actually increased.
