What are these events? Every Tuesday, Pokémon GO starts a Spotlight Hour at 6:00 p.m., which runs until 7:00 p.m. A selected specimen is in the foreground and appears almost everywhere in the wild. For each date, the Pokémon that is in the spotlight at the event and which bonus it is accompanied by changes.

Spotlight Hour on May 2nd Which Pokemon?

During May’s first Spotlight session, you’ll encounter Kleinstein in the Alolan form. The original Kleinstein comes from the first game generation. The Alola region is part of the seventh generation of the game. It is of the Ground and Stone types and can evolve into Georok and Geowaz in the Alola form. What bonuses are active?

You get twice the amount of experience points for catching Pokémon. Who is it worth it for?

Kleinstein and Georok are not particularly interesting for you as fighters. The last evolution, Alolan Geowaz, is better. In raids, however, it only plays in the midfield of the best attackers and can only place itself in the upper midfield of the super league in PvP. You can find better alternatives in Pokémon GO. Spotlight Hour on May 9th Which Pokemon?

In the second spotlight hour in May, the Pokémon Ponyta from the first generation of the game awaits you. It is of the Fire type and can evolve into Gallopa. What bonuses are active?

For catching Pokemon, you get twice the amount of Candy. Who is it worth it for?

Ponyta and Galoppa are not important attackers in PvE or PvP that you should definitely have in your collection. Some trainers will use the hour to complete raids over time and earn double the candy in the process. Can you catch Shiny Ponyta?

Yes, the Shiny version of Ponyta is active in Pokémon GO and you can catch it.

Spotlight Hour on May 16th Which Pokemon?

The Pokémon Knofensa from the first generation of the game awaits you at the third spotlight hour in May. It belongs to the Grass and Poison types and can evolve into Ultrigaria and Sarzenia. What bonuses are active?

For sending Pokemon you get twice the amount of Candy. Who is it worth it for?

Sarzenia plays in PvP in the upper midfield of the Superliga. Knofensa and Ultrigaria can’t keep up. Overall, the Pokémon family is rather weak in battle. But you can make good use of the hour to tidy up your Pokémon collection and receive lots of candy for sending it. Can you catch Shiny Knofensa?

Yes, Knofensa’s shiny version is also available in Pokémon GO and you can catch it.

Spotlight Hour on May 23rd Which Pokemon?

The fourth May Spotlight brings you Pionskora from the fourth generation of the game. It belongs to the Poison and Bug types and can evolve into Piondragi. What bonuses are active?

For evolving Pokémon, you get double the amount of experience points. Who is it worth it for?

Piondragi is an attacker in the super league and in the hyper league in the upper midfield. It’s not really useful in raid battles. You can use the appointment to evolve Pokémon and get extra experience points for doing so. Can you catch Shiny Pionskora?

Yes, the shiny version of Pionskora is already active in Pokémon GO.

In May’s final spotlight hour, you’ll meet the second-generation Pokémon Hunduster. It belongs to the Dark and Fire types and can evolve into Houndemon. It also features the Mega Dogemon evolution. What bonuses are active?

You get double Stardust for catching Pokémon. Who is it worth it for?

Hundemon plays as an attacker in raids in the upper midfield. His Mega Evolution, on the other hand, is ranked in the A tier of the best attackers in the game. So it can be very rewarding for you to catch strong specimens of this Pokémon. You can fill up your stardust resources at the same time during the event. Can you catch Shiny Hunduster?
