“They have therefore become gems in the city, with lots of nature,” says project leader Baars. “For example, there are fifty different wild bee species living on the four forts together.” The environment also remains natural, because Lunet I and II will be the eye-catchers of the new Lunettenpark, which is being constructed between the Galgenwaard stadium, the VSC football fields and the Lunetten district. Trees that had to make way during the restoration are compensated there. Lunet III and IV are already in the Beatrix Park.
