While The Mandalorian & Grogu brings the mandoverse to the cinema, Lucasfilm is currently developing several projects that are supposed to expand the Star Wars universe with independent stories. One of them is Star Wars: Starfighter, who is supposed to conquer the large screen in the near future.
When does Star Wars start: Starfighter in the cinema?
Star Wars: Starfighter starts on May 26, 2027 in the German cinemas.
The US start takes place a day later. The new branch of the Saga’s tradition remains true to this: both the films of the original and that of the Prequel trilogy celebrated its premiere in May of their year. In contrast, the sequel trilogy and Rogue One chose December as a theatrical release. Now we have returned in May.
When does the trailer come to Star Wars: Starfighter?

The events of Star Wars: Starfighter are located five years after the Battle of Exegol, which we saw in the final of Star Wars: Skywalker’s promotion. We move on the Star Wars-Timeline in 40 NSY in the year. The NSY stands for “after the battle for Yavin” – 40 years after the destruction of the first death star.
What is Star Wars’s action: Starfighter?
There are no concrete details about the action. According to rumors, the focus of history is a 15-year-old boy who has a special relationship with power. What is certain in any case is that the film, like Rogue One and Solo: A Star Wars Story, tells an independent Star Wars adventure.
Who is part of Star Wars: Starfighter?
So far, two stars have been determined:
Ryan Gosling (known from Drive, Blade Runner 2049 and Barbie)
Mia Goth (known from X, Pearl and Maxxxine)
Which roles the two games are, is a well -kept secret in the halls of Lucasfilm. However, it can be assumed that we have never seen their characters in another Star Wars story. Due to the location on the timeline, it should nevertheless be that well-known figures from the sequel trilogy in Star Wars: Starfighter appear. So far, this has not been officially confirmed.

Who turns and writes Star Wars: Starfighter?
Shawn Levy is the director of Star Wars: Starfighter. Previously, he staged the Marvel blockbuster Deadpool & Wolverine and brought the night in the museum series to the cinema. The script comes from Jonathan Tropper, who previously worked with Levy as part of the Netflix film The Adam Project. The shooting of Star Wars: Starfighter should start this year in autumn.
What does Star Wars have: Starfighter to do with the video game?
Under the title Star Wars: Starfighter was also published in 2001 a video game developed by Lucasarts. However, they are completely different projects. The game is located at the beginning of the prequel trilogy and is about Starfighter pilot: inside, who try to stop the naboo invasion, which is an important point of action by Star Wars: Episode I-The Dark Threat.
