At the start of a new season in EA FC 25, many players are looking for a strong tactic. A pro explains the 3 formations and instructions he uses to play Ultimate Team. We have recreated the formations so that you can easily adopt them with the new tactic codes.
What kind of professional is this? The German YouTuber Bene “BeneCR7x” Bauer is a content creator for EA FC and has been an eSports athlete for 7 years. He has already qualified for the World Championships twice.
He is also producing a lot of guides for his viewers at the launch of EA FC. In a video on YouTube he presents his 3 new tactics for FC 25. You can use these as tactic codes in your game.
What are tactical codes? This is a newly introduced feature in FC 25 that is designed to make it easier for you to adopt other people’s tactics. Using the new tactic codes, you can easily copy the lineups and instructions of another team’s formation and import them into your Ultimate Team.
Where do you enter the tactic codes? Select your team and press the left analog stick to select team actions. Open team management and press right once to enter a tactic code.
3 strong tactics to start in Ultimate Team
We will show you the 3 tactics of BeneCR7x. In addition, we will give you some tips on the following questions:
Important! In EA FC 25, the new FC IQ technology replaces the instructions and work rates known from FC 24 and previous FIFA games. In FC 25, you determine how your players move on the pitch away from the ball by assigning player roles.
MeinMMO author Thomas Dummer was impressed by the functionality of the new role in his preview of FC 25: After 30 games in FC 25, I feel like a master coach because my players move like world stars
4-4-2 tactic (balanced)

When should you play this tactic? As the starting formation when you begin a new game and as long as the game is tied.
What is the 4-4-2 tactic? The 4-4-2 is one of the most balanced formations. Defensively, you play with two chains of four. Offensively, you are very variable with the individual instructions and can pose a threat with two strikers and two wingers.
This is what BeneCR7x’s 4-4-2 looks like with the ball:
On the left side, you try to combine your way through the wing. Your left ST and left CM offer you additional passing options. The left attacking side is designed to keep the playing field as wide as possible by giving the offensive winger the role of “wing”.
On the right, your RM is like a third striker and orientates himself inwards towards your right ST when attacking. This means that there are at least 3 players in the opponent’s penalty area during your attacks, posing a threat.
4-5-1 tactic (defensive)

When should you play this tactic? When you are in the lead and want to manage the result, your opponent is putting pressure on you and you have to hit a lot of long balls out of the danger zone.
What is the 4-5-1 tactic? The 4-5-1 is a bit more defensive than the 4-4-2. The withdrawn striker, who acts as an attacking midfielder here, is intended to give you one more passing option.
This is what BeneCR7x’s 4-5-1 tactic looks like with the ball:
Don’t let the image confuse you. Since the ZOM is given the role of “half wing”, he supports the side where the ball is. He moves across the entire field to create passing options and also helps defensively.
In defence, you have a tight back four that only concentrates on defending. Your midfield also helps you to defend your goal.
Small tip: Since you are forced to play a lot of long balls, you should use tall players with strong headers for the ST and RM/LM.
4-2-4 tactic (very offensive)

When should you play this tactic? When you’re behind and really want to score a goal.
What is the 4-2-4 tactic? The tactic is convincing with concentrated offensive power. Four players in the front line ensure that you are very present in attack, simply because of their number. At the back, however, you are usually quite open.
This is what BeneCR7x’s 4-2-4 tactic looks like with the ball:
Your 4-man offensive line is supported by the additional central midfielder and his role as the “engine” and focus of the “attack”. The opponent’s penalty area is besieged by numerous players. This is intended to cause chaos in the opponent’s back line.
What else should you pay attention to? When selecting your players, you should make sure that they can at least perform the roles. BeneCR7x says that you don’t necessarily have to make sure that the players have a “+” or “++” behind their player role. If you are not familiar with the new player roles or the plus signs and their meaning, you can get an overview on MeinMMO: EA FC 25: What does the plus on my player mean?
