For the 17th time in history, the Paralympic Games will be held for a total of 23 disciplines and 549 events on the program. Two sports are unique to the Paralympics, boccia and goalball, we can also mention blind football because even if it is football, there are still many differences. In total, 4,400 athletes, from 184 delegations, will be in Paris. 1,859, or 42%, will be women. A record. The French delegation will be large with 236 athletes and 20 guides. For the first time, France will have representatives in the 22 sports and 23 disciplines on the Paralympic Games program.
