In the overview below you can see all the spotlight hours in December 2023 in Pokémon GO. We will show you all the information about the Pokémon, shinys, bonuses and the respective date of the event.
What events are they about? Every Tuesday, Pokémon GO hosts a one-hour event in which a predetermined monster spawns more frequently in the wild. This event is called Spotlight Hour.
Four of these dates await you in December 2023. In the overview we show you which Pokémon and which bonus will be the focus of the spotlight hours on the following Tuesdays.
All dates of the spotlight hours in December 2023
When do the spotlight hours run? The spotlight hours run every Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The following Pokémon and bonuses await you in December:
If you’re lucky, you can also encounter all of the Pokémon shown here as Shiny
Limelight Hour on December 5th
Which Pokémon? The Pokémon Barschwa from the third game generation awaits you in the first spotlight hour in December 2023. It is a Water-type and can evolve into Milotic.
Which bonuses are active? You get double the amount of candy for catching Pokémon.
Is it worth it? As an attacker, Barschwa is completely irrelevant and can be ignored by you. His further development Milotic does not play an important role as a raid attacker and cannot convince in PvP either.
Can you catch shiny perch? Yes, you can already catch the shiny version of Barschwa in Pokémon GO.
Limelight Hour on December 12th
Which Pokémon? In the second spotlight hour in December 2023, the Pokémon Jurob from the first game generation is looking forward to seeing you. It belongs to the Water type and can evolve into Jugong.
Which bonuses are active? For sending Pokémon you will receive double the amount of candies.
Is it worth it? Jurob and his development Jugong are not really strong as attackers in raids. But you can use Jugong if you play in PvP in the Super League. Because there it belongs to the upper midfield of the best attackers.
Can you catch Shiny Jurob? Yes, the dazzling version of Jurob is already active in Pokémon GO and, if you’re lucky, you can catch it.
Limelight Hour on December 19th
Which Pokémon? In the third spotlight hour in December 2023 you will meet the Pokémon Schneppke from the third game generation. It belongs to the ice type and can develop into Firnontor or Frosdedje.
Which bonuses are active? For evolving Pokémon you will receive double the amount of experience points.
Is it worth it? Unfortunately, Schneppke himself is not a good attacker. Firnontor plays no role at all in raids and only makes it to the lower midfield in PvP. Frosdedje, on the other hand, is one of the top attackers in PvP in the Super League.
Can you catch Shiny Schneppke? Yes, you can catch the dazzling version of Schneppke if you’re lucky.
Limelight Hour on December 26th
Which Pokémon? The last spotlight hour in December 2023 brings you the Pokémon Gelatini from the fifth generation of the game. It belongs to the ice cream type and can evolve into Gelatroppo and Gelatwino.
Which bonuses are active? You will receive double the amount of stardust for catching Pokémon.
Is it worth it? None of the Pokémon are useful in PvP or raids. The spotlight hour is worth it for you, especially for the stardust bonus. However, Gelatini will be released as Shiny for the first time in December. So maybe you’ll be very lucky during the spotlight hour and secure yourself a copy.
Can you catch Shiny Gelatini? In December 2023 you will have the chance to catch Shiny Gelatini for the first time.
