But Guidetti stands by his decision:
– I am first and foremost a player and that is what I want to be. So if I had thought that this decision affected my career, I would not have taken it. Just like with everything. But it’s like everything in life, you have to consider whether it will affect or not. I have to put the kids to bed sometimes too, although maybe I should do hill training. But that’s what you do sometimes as a footballer, he says Sportbladet.

John Guidetti is married to the influencer and podcaster True Guidetti, formerly Sanna Dahlström. The couple already met as twelve-year-olds when they attended the same school.
