With Indiana Jones 5, Harrison Ford says goodbye to one of the most formative roles of his career. One last time he grabs his hat and whip to embark on an exciting adventure that will take him around the world. This farewell thought became more than clear at this year’s D23 Expo.
In the spotlight, Ford was unexpectedly emotional on stage. Indiana Jones 5 will not be a rash sequel. Instead, the film is supposed to be the cinema hero say goodbye. “That’s it”, announced Ford. But is that the end of the series? The new part could already present its successor.

It hasn’t been officially confirmed yet. However, Lucasfilm and Disney are very unlikely to say goodbye to one of their most valuable brands. Last but not least hides in the Indiana Jones 5 cast promising newcomer, who can lead the series in the future: Phoebe Waller-Bridge. We don’t yet know how Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s character in Part 5 is related to Indiana Jones. is she his daughter An avid archaeologist? At D23 we got a glimpse of Helena’s costume. She definitely looks like an adventuress. A concept art was also revealed, giving us a sense of what the costume looks like when it’s filled with life. At first glance, the character newly created for Indiana Jones 5 fits perfectly into the aesthetic of the serieswhich began with Raiders of the Lost Ark in 1981.

The most exciting thing about Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s character so far, however, is neither her name nor her costume.
