In Remnant 2 there are secret classes that you have to unlock first. You can find out what they are, what they can do and how you can unlock them in our overview.

What are secret classes? In Remnant 2 you can unlock a total of 6 secret archetypes, so-called classes. The following exist:

Once you’ve unlocked one of these archetypes in a playthrough of your choice, that class can be selected as the starter archetype by any new character you create. This is useful if you want to experience a change in a new run.

In the following part we will now show you each archetype individually, explain how you get them and what makes them so special.

The Summoner

What class is this? The summoner is known for summoning minions of the seed. If they annoy you, you can even blow them up. Very useful if you like to play solo and need support in fights.

How do I unlock this class? In order to unlock the Summoner, you must find the Blood Moon Altar in Yaesha. This altar offers the Faded Grimoire for purchase, but only if you collect the Blood Moon Essence rare resource.

You can find these when there is blood moon in Yaesha. Now you have to shoot pink glowing wasps. Once you’ve shot enough, buy the faded grimoire and go to Wallace in Station 13. There you convert the book into an engram and can now equip the summoner.

The Archon

What class is this? The Archon is a complicated but powerful class. With it you can generate lightning strikes from your arms and also benefit from a high mod regeneration rate. If you have a suitable build, you are almost unstoppable.

How do I unlock this class? The Archon is difficult to unlock as it is tied to items and archetypes that you must equip before you can get the Archon item. You need the following things:

  • Activated the “Stalker” class at level 05 with the “Wormhole” skill
  • Activated the Explorer class at level 10 with the Fortune Hunter skill
  • Amulet: Leto’s Amulet
  • Ring 1: Green-yellow moonstone
  • Ring 2: Anastasija’s inspiration
  • Ring 3: Zania’s Malice
  • Ring 4: Ring of the Black Cat
  • Armor: Spherewalker Set
  • Long gun: Ford’s shotgun
  • Hand Cannon: Cube Weapon
  • Melee Weapon: Staff of Maze
  • Relic: Heart of the Void

    • Once you have found all the items, you must now enter the labyrinth and open the corrupted door that shimmers red. Go through the portal and look for the Strange Box item. Bring this box to Wallace to create an engram for the Archon class.

    The discoverer

    What class is this? The explorer is designed to buff his teammates or generate or find more loot. In addition, you have it easier to spot items.

    How do I unlock this class? You can unlock the explorer when you find the broken compass. You get this compass after defeating the final boss of Remnant 2. Then bring the item to Wallace and use it to create an engram.

    The engineer

    What class is this? The Engineer focuses primarily on heavy weapons and turret placement. You can even overclock these heavy guns and guns to make them even more powerful.

    How do I unlock this class? You can unlock the class by finding and collecting the alien device in N’Erud. For this you have to go to the spawn point “Vaults of the Aeons” or “Timeless Horizon”. Now you are looking for a niche in the border area between the deadly fog and your walkable path, in which you can sprint through.

    Now jump onto another platform in front of you in the fog. Collect some armor and jump straight down from your platform you are standing on. There you will find the alien device. Bring this device to Wallace and use it to form the necessary Drzyr Vernier Caliper device.

    The Alchemist

    What class is this? The Alchemist is known for providing buffs and effects to his colleagues. These make you stronger and more resilient. However, these buffs are not generated with spells, but with potions.

    How do I unlock this class? To unlock the alchemist, you must find the mysterious stone in Losomn. To do this, go to the sewers and walk around next to the various sewer entrances in the city that have bent rods.

    Eventually the Bone Collector will grab you and kill you. You will die, but you will also wake up in a different place. Waking up there, you must now defeat the bone collector to get the mysterious stone.

    Bring this stone to Wallace and convert it into the “Philosopher’s Stone”.

    The Stalker

    What class is this? The Stalker is a master of deception and mobile abilities. Melee combat is also one of his talents, making him a deadly class.

    How do I unlock this class? To unlock the Stalker or Intruder you need to find the wooden knife. Start your journey first in the Losomn reality in the Parish of Morrow area. If your campaign doesn’t own the location, you can roll a world featuring the Parish of Morrow via Adventure Mode. Now proceed as follows:

  • Spawn in the parish of Morrow and head to the grounds of the insane asylum
  • Find a hut with a boss in the asylum’s backyard
  • Defeat the “Sawmaster” boss and collect the “Insane Asylum Key (Floor 3)” in his hut
  • Enter the mental asylum and open the 3rd floor with your key
  • Now look for an open window that leads you to a balcony
  • This balcony has the “Prison Cell Key”
  • Now go into the basement of the asylum and look for an iron door from which a female voice sounds
  • You open this door with your new key
  • Collect the item “Stone Doll of the Nightweaver” from this cell
  • Now play through Losomn until you have reached the “Gilded Chambers” area and have to defeat the red prince
  • If the boss is dead, now look for a room on a lower floor where the Nightweaver is bending over a corpse
  • Approach and collect the Soul Key Tribute item from the corpse
  • Travel to the asylum again and look for a cocoon in the basement
  • There you use your soul key
  • Now you keep to the right and enter a red glowing cell
  • There, use the Nightweaver’s Stone Doll to obtain the Dreamcatcher melee weapon
  • Now go to the area “Earth of the Seeds” in the location “The Tainted Haven”
  • There you have to interact with your dream catcher on a mushroom-like corpse
  • You will now receive the item “Wanderer’s Dream”, which you will use immediately
  • You will now be teleported to the same reality, shimmering red this time
  • Go to the visually same location and defeat the elite boss “Curse”
  • After the battle you will receive the item “Wooden Knife”

    • Bring this item to Wallace and unlock the Stalker class.
