The newly formed Spectral Sightings are tasked with a case directly connected to Elise’s own family history. The 2nd chapter of the Insidious series follows the plot of the 1st part directly. Josh is trapped in the Eternal Realm, and Elise and her companions must Truth about the creepy ghost bride learn to save Josh. Unfortunately, Elise has to lose her life in this endeavor. However, the end of the film reveals that Elise as a ghost still wants to help her two colleagues, Tucker and Specs.

The 5th film in the series was officially announced in October 2020, which is not surprising – after all, the 4th part Insidious – The Last Key was the most successful film in the series. After a hiatus of 2 movies, Insidious 5 finally continues the main storyline after Chapter 2.
Insidious: Chapter 5 time warps and plays about 10 years after the events of part 2. Dalton is now a young man and attending college. But his past with evil spirits soon catches up with him again.
