All 23 cameo surprises at a glance

In their first MCU adventure together, Deadpool & Wolverine have been hitting theaters since July 24, 2024, setting off a multiversal fireworks display of Marvel cameos that will amaze many a fan. Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness are a joke in comparison.

If you want to review the barrage of cameos after your visit to the film or just want to join in the conversation, you can find more in this article all 22 surprise appearances at a glance – and which Marvel projects you know the guest stars from. We have neglected returnees from the Deadpool films in this list.

Deadpool & Wolverine Cameo #1: Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan

Disney

Happy in Spider-Man: Far From Home

When Wade Wilson first enters the reality of the Sacred Timeline or Earth-616 at the beginning of the film, an MCU cameo is a must. Deadpool wants to apply for the Avengers and will be Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau), the head of security at Stark Industry. The scene takes place in 2018, before the events of Endgame. This means that Tony Stark is still alive at this point, but unfortunately not available for a guest appearance.

Deadpool & Wolverine Cameo #2: Hulk

Universal

The incredible Hulk

Probably the shortest guest appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine the incredible Hulk. During a montage in which Wade searches the multiverse for possible Logan variants, he briefly stumbles into a reality where Wolverine and the Hulk are battling. The short scene is an homage to Wolverine’s very first comic book appearance in The Incredible Hulk series in 1974.

Deadpool & Wolverine Cameo #3: Henry Cavill as Wolverine

Paramount / 20th Century Fox

Henry Cavill and Wolverine

There was a lot of speculation beforehand about which Hollywood stars could play alternative versions of Wolverine. Ultimately, we only get to see one Logan variant that is not played by Hugh Jackman himself. During his multiverse trip, Deadpool meets the “Cavillrine“. In his best Origins outfit (a white undershirt) and with a cigar in his mouth, Henry Cavill presents himself as an alternative Wolverine.

Deadpool & Wolverine Cameo #4: Chris Evans as…Johnny Storm

20th Century Fox

Johnny Storm in Fantastic Four

It is probably the biggest and funniest cameo in the film. In the wasteland of the Void at the end of time (originally: The Void), Deadpool and Wolverine meet a mysterious figure. When the figure pulls down its hood, Chris Evans is revealed, whom Marvel fans last saw as Captain America in Endgame.

Even Deadpool is convinced that he is facing the legendary Avenger. The surprise is all the greater: He shouts loudly “Flame on!” and turns out to be a variant of the Fantastic Four hero Johnny Stormwhich Evans once played in the 2000s. If you want to see more of the fiery Johnny, you should stay until the end of the film.

Deadpool & Wolverine Cameo #5: Jennifer Garner as Elektra

20th Century Fox

Elektra in Daredevil

On their trip through the void, Wolverine and Deadpool meet four outcasts in a cave who join the fight against villain Cassandra Nova (Emma Corrin) as a kind of mini-Avengers. The first surprise cameo is Jennifer Garner, who returns as a Marvel heroine after almost 20 years. Electra you can see.

Deadpool & Wolverine Cameo #6: Wesley Snipes as Blade

Fun fact: Ryan Reynolds has met Blade before, but in a completely different role. In the third part of the vampire trilogy, he played Hannibal King alongside Wesley Snipes.

Deadpool & Wolverine Cameo #7: Channing Tatum as Gambit

Warner Bros. / Marvel Comics

Channing Tatum and Gambit

Deadpool & Wolverine fulfills actor Channing Tatum’s greatest wish. For many years he tried unsuccessfully to make a film adaptation of the X-Men gambit Now he can play Remy LeBeau in a Marvel film, throwing exploding cards and speaking in the most incomprehensible Cajun dialect.

Deadpool & Wolverine Cameo #8: Dafne Keen as X-23

20th Century Fox

X-23 aka Laura in Logan

The fourth member of the group around Elektra, Blade and Gambit is the Mutant Laura, who is played by Dafne Keen again seven years after her first appearance in Logan – The Wolverine. Also known as X-23, Laura is Wolverine’s daughter, who can also shoot dangerous adamantium blades out of her body. Her sunglasses, known from Logan, are also back – as is her wild and brutal fighting style.

Deadpool & Wolverine Cameo #9: Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15

Disney

Hunter B-15

Since it was announced that the Time Variance Authority (TVA) plays an important role in Deadpool & Wolverine, Marvel fans have been wondering which characters from the Loki series might appear. Surprisingly, it is only one: Later in the film, the high-ranking TVA soldier B-15 (Wunmi Mosaku) appears to take a closer look at the chaotic plans of her subordinate Paradox (Matthew Macfadyen).
