After the Fantasy Film Festival 2024, the shorter offshoot will take place again this winter Fantasy film festival White Nights 2025 takes place, where ten films delight genre fans over a weekend. The Advance ticket sales has already begun.

If you want to see a brand new horror film, thriller, actioner or sci-fi detour before everyone else, you can still secure your tickets now. Here we introduce you to this year’s new products.

These 10 films are part of the Fantasy Filmfest White Nights program

Seven cities As always, they are part of the Fantasy Film Festival tour. The White Nights will also take place on the following two weekends in the well-known German cities:

  • January 25-26, 2025: Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich
  • February 1st to 2nd, 2025: Berlin, Cologne, Nuremberg, Stuttgart

    In 2025, past highlights will be joined by brand new films from around the world that focus on horror, fantasy, sci-fi and action and also include famous names like Steven Soderbergh and Nicolas Cage:

  • Above the knee – When Amir’s leg begins to rot, he must try to control the growing blackness… or reject the body part.

  • Companion – The perfect accompaniment – In the twisty sci-fi horror film, Sophie Thatcher can’t shake the feeling that her boyfriend Jack Quaid is keeping something from her on a weekend trip with his circle of friends.

  • Dead Talents Society – After her death, a young woman in this horror comedy finds out that she needs a spook license as a scarer in order to stay in the afterlife.

  • I, the Executioner – The criminals who have slipped through the South Korean state’s fingers are dealt with by a self-appointed executioner. Sequel to Veteran – Above the Law.

  • MadS
    – Trying out a new drug turns Romain’s planned night of partying into a surreal horror trip when a woman slits her throat in front of him shortly afterwards. Is a zombie apocalypse breaking out here?

  • Night Call
    – In this French action thriller, student Mady works as a locksmith at night and is drawn into a conspiracy by a woman with hidden motives.

  • Presence – Steven Soderbergh’s next horror film after Unsane confronts a family with a suburban haunting after moving into their new home.

  • Street Trash

    – A group of homeless misfits struggle to survive in 2050 Cape Town when they uncover a plot to wipe them out.

  • The Surfer – Nicolas Cage, as a humiliated surfer, takes on a few Australians who destroy his dream beach idyll.
  • The Wailing – Because no one believes Andrea has witnessed a bloodbath via video chat, she sets out to find the cause of the spooky herself.

    • If you don’t have time for the two winter weekends of the Fantasy Filmfest White Nights, you can mark the festival’s next offshoot on your calendar: The Fantasy Filmfest Nights will take place in May 2025: from May 8th to 11th (in Berlin, Frankfurt, Cologne, Nuremberg and Stuttgart) and from May 15th to 18th (in Hamburg and Munich).
