Aliona Gloukhova explores the new map of intimacy

With ” Our luminous bodies » her third novel, the Belarusian writer Aliona Gloukhova this time explores love through a singular intimate and mental map.

What if a breakup was the occasion for a fruitful exploration of oneself and one’s relationship with others? What if imbalance gave rise to a new ordering of the world? What if the fall was in fact the occasion for a new flight? What if a “flat, horizontal sadness” turns into the fiery trajectory of a shooting star?

It is a very singular intimate and mental map, which the narrator of this novel draws with her memories and her dreams; with his distant or motionless journeys; with her words too, those she records for herself on her phone, and with the words of others – her personal friends, her chance encounters, a few philosophers too.

Writer of Belarusian origin but of French language, Aliona Glukhova publishes his third book, Our luminous bodies » published by Verticales.

Reporting : visual artist Franck Hantan is currently presenting paintings and sculptures gathered around the theme of voodoo in Paris. Our reporter Emma Garboud-Lorenzoni went to the opening of the exhibition.
