Since Sigourney Weaver first took on the drooling, torso-jumping alien life form as Ripley in 1979’s Alien, 44 years have passed and an entire sci-fi franchise has grown out of space horror. In addition to the Alien cinema reboot Romulus, we can also expect it shortly first alien series. That’s what happened now Timothy Olyphant cast as a crucial new character.
Timothy Olyphant will play an android in the Alien series
Timothy Olyphant is known to series fans as the Justified protagonist or as the Star Wars character Cobb Vanth from The Mandalorian, but has also starred in films such as The Crazies and Snowden. He already knows the Alien series creator Noah Hawley from working together on the 4th season of Fargo. As reported by Variety, Timothy Olyphant is set to star in the sci-fi horror series Alien Androids Kirsh Hatch.
As crew members, we know the “Synth” (Synthetics) in the Alien franchise, for example through Ash (Ian Holm) in Alien 1 or David (Michael Fassbender) in Alien: Covenant. In the Alien series, Timothy Olyphant’s character is said to be the Main character Wendy (Sydney Chandler) as a mentor because she is a hybrid: a meta-human, with the brain and consciousness of a child, but with the body of an adult.
