Alien invasion sci-fi movie that really wasn’t on anyone’s radar and now it’s “one of the best movies of the year”

no one will save you 01

Without much advance notice, a trailer was released at the beginning of September, showing No One Will Save You captivating mix of science fiction and horror antease. You can now stream director Brian Duffield’s film on Disney+. The first reactions promise one of the genre highlights of the year.

That’s what No One Will Save You is about

In the film’s story, the main character Brynn Adams (Booksmart star Kaitlyn Dever) has withdrawn from society to live alone. One day, however, she receives a surprise visit of a more unpleasant sort an alien invades their house. In the fight against the alien invasion, she must also face past fears.

The first No One Will Save You votes are very positive

In his IndieWire review, David Ehrlich praises the sci-fi film as a clever, very well-made alien invasion film with a special gimmick:

Brian Duffield’s No One Will Save You is a clever and well-crafted alien invasion story that would have absolutely been a hit in theaters had Disney not made the decision to give it straight to Hulu (the streaming era is nothing but a golden age of self-sabotage).
The film does something no sci-fi horror film has done before: It seems strange that his heroine doesn’t talk to herself all the time. In fact, Brynn Adams – played by the playful and expressive Kaitlyn Dever – barely says a single word in the entire film.

The first Twitter votes are at least as positive sometimes even more euphoric out of:

No One Will Save You is one of the best surprises of the year. Works as both a suspenseful home invasion thriller and a daring alien attack film. Science fiction, with Kaitlyn Dever in the excellent leading role. It deserved a theatrical release and would have been a huge hit with audiences.

NO ONE WILL SAVE YOU is one of my favorite films of the year, period. Crazy set pieces, real Amblin vibes, a very unexpected ending and… a few other surprises that are best for you to discover. Finally, someone has created the “evil gray aliens.” The film I always wanted. Loved it.

No One Will Save You is a brilliant film for reasons I don’t want to talk about for fear of spoilers. It feels like an episode of The Twilight Zone. Sometimes frightening, with a bit of heart and soul. Kaitlyn Dever proves once again that she is phenomenal.

No One Will Save You is a surprising, no-holds-barred alien invasion film with an explosive lead role from Kaitlyn Dever. It’s small, but thanks to the visual effects it never feels like it, and the story keeps you guessing until the end. Exciting. Fascinating. Fucked up.

No One Will Save You combines The Twilight Zone and Nope to great effect. Kaitlyn Dever shines in a one-woman War of the Worlds that is creative, atmospheric, haunting and downright scary. Audiences will be talking about it for years to come.

No One Will Save You is not only a phenomenal alien invasion film, but one of the best films of the year. Point. Infinitely exciting, exciting and brilliantly done. Kaitlyn Dever has never been better. I will always look forward to a Brian Duffield film now.
