In season 1 ofAlice in Borderland, Arisu and his best friends are thrown into an alternate, deserted Tokyo, where their days are numbered. They can, however, gain “life points” to survive longer by winning games that can prove deadly. While his two friends are dying, Arisu meets Usagi, with whom he continues his adventure. They then decide to join the players’ organization “La Plage”, led by a man named Le Chapelier. At the end of the first episodes, the Hatter is murdered, and a witch hunt is organized. As Arisu and Usagi discover the truth about La Plage, Mira, one of the leaders, reveals to them that she is actually one of the managers of the game they are in. They must then move on to the next level…
