Alica makes a comeback after 9 years

Sweden’s big cooking competition is back and for another year, people from all over the country are applying to use pans, knives, sauces and spices to fight to end up as the winner of Sweden’s Master Chef 2024.

In the jury we see again Tommy Myllymäki, Tom Sjöstedt and the safe taste Mischa Billing. This year we will also glimpse one of last year’s participants, Zacharias Lindqvist Hansson, who today works full-time cooking.

This year the bar will be set high and the jury points out as usual that they will be strict, fair and not take careless mistakes lightly.

Already in the first episode, there were some who managed to make a big impression – and others who perhaps went in with a confidence that perhaps did not quite live up to the result.

One of those who really did well – it was Alice Andersson19. And for those who watched Sweden’s youngest master chef in 2014 – well, then it is indeed a familiar face.

In 2014, Alica Andersson stepped into the master chef’s kitchen, only ten years old, to compete to become Sweden’s youngest master chef.

It went incredibly well for Alica and the jury was repeatedly impressed by her technique in the kitchen, the way she cooks and the accuracy of every step. One of those who was noticeably impressed – it was Tina Nordström.

– Think you can be so talented for your age?, she said then.

– Yes, you should always think about every little detail, Alica then answered.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough all the way and Alica didn’t win.

But if it goes all the way this time, it remains to be seen. Her right during her audition made a strong impression on the jury this year.

The puree was a little salty, but the monkfish was absolutely magical, so you get a crystal clear yes from me, said Tom Sjöstedt.

And the remaining jury members did not think otherwise, which meant that Alica went on to Gävle.

Congratulations!
