Bozkurt, with whom we came together as part of the Corolla Cross launch, answered his expectations about the process with a sincere language. Bozkurt emphasized that this step was not taken despite the need to increase it throughout the year; “We know that the limit for disabled users is far behind. We are constantly and persistently emphasizing that it needs updating. We also said that it was too late. When the last update was made, Euro/TL was 8 TL, today it has exceeded 18 TL in the table. The fact that expectations are unanswered at this point and we are close to ending the year shows that the update is now per year.
In these circumstances, I can share my personal guess with you. What were the figures in Euro when this was done last time, and what will happen in the coming period needs attention. As you know, an increase rate is reflected in vehicles almost every month, which should also be taken into account. Considering all the factors, in my opinion, more than double the increase will only balance this situation.” made statements.

If the figure pointed out by TÜİK for the SCT limit becomes reality, users may still be faced with the 2022 scenario, unless a re-evaluation is made within the year. As it is known, the new model year hike is reflected to the cars at a perceptible rate, as it is every year. When we look at the latest examples in the world, we see much more noticeable price increases in new vehicles with the 2023 model year together with the energy and supply crises. There is also the expectation of some non-governmental organizations and associations to increase the new upper limit in this direction to 1.25 million TL. The final result, which is not yet official, may also be revised upwards by President Erdogan.
