The Algerian opponent and human rights activist Karim Tabbou was released on Saturday afternoon from the Châteauneuf police station in Algiers, where he had been taken last night by the police without any explanation being provided.
Figure of the Hirak movement, leader of the Democratic and Social Union, a small opposition party not approved by the authorities, Karim Tabbou recently spoke on Facebook about the death in prison of another human rights activist, Hakim Debazzi.
