Algeciras CF: Algeciras rejects a golden opportunity for the playoff

Algeciras CF Algeciras rejects a golden opportunity for the playoff

Fair tie between Algeciras and Atlético Baleares with minutes of superiority for both teams in each of the times. Roni and Vinicius Tanque scored the goals in a game that does not clarify the fight for promotion in Group II of the First RFEF.

There was little to temporize in the first minutes of the game. Already at 15 seconds, Manel had the first for the Balearic team with a pass to the back that caught the Algeciras defense still with the rheum. This Balearic occasion spurred Eloy Jiménez’s men who handcuffed the Algeciras, still with fear in their bodies. It happens that the locals need little to get into the game and that little is the great quality that their attackers have. Alberto Bueno, in combination with Turrillo, shot high and, with this shot, put his team in the duel.

Already with a more even game, the Balearic Islands continued to instill fear with more skill in the final meters. So much so that in minute 20, Alfonso Martín put the visitors ahead by finishing off a lateral free kick, but referee Collado López annulled the midfielder’s goal for offside. Offside that was not and the umpteenth sample of the refereeing level in this category. The visiting target made the Algeciras return to their initial role: gripped, Fallones and without any danger in their plays.

It happens that Algeciras has something that few teams in the category have as they do: gunpowder up front, the kind that kill when you are at your best. Romero dribbled past two players at the edge of the area to assist a Roni who beat René Román with a tight shot in the 33rd minute. The goal was an antidote for those from Nuevo Mirador and poison for the islanders. So much so that his captain Canario was immersed in a series of brawls that resulted in a yellow card for his teammate Manel, who was passing by.

Algeciras knew how to tame the Balearic Islands and reach the end of the first with a momentary victory thanks to the blow from Roni from Oviedo, assisted, of course, by the ten Atletico player Álvaro Romero.

The second act began bittersweet for local interests. Those of Ania started with vertigo and bite, even having a more than clear chance, a Roni who fell asleep in front of the rival goal. Later, the essential Tomás Sánchez had a near injury in a fortuitous play that prevented him from being the usual one for the remainder of the match.

Shield/Flag At. Balearics

Eloy Jiménez pulled from the bench to change the face of an Atlético Baleares team that was fading at times. Vinicius Tanque entered and said and done. The powerful Brazilian soccer player stretched his team that were appearing through Pol Tristán’s goal with more danger. The goal would not be long in coming. Pastrana tried to beat Pol who stopped his shot, then Dioni shot across and Vinicius caught the ball to level the match in the 58th minute.

A more entertaining game began there for the spectator. Both teams sought victory and not miss a golden opportunity to storm the playoffs. First, Dioni was close to completing the comeback and the locals had a double chance a few minutes later at the feet of Tomás Sánchez and the captain Turrillo.

Tiredness did not take long to appear in the duel despite the changes of Ania and Eloy Jiménez. In this way, the game entered a point where neither of the two teams and the stands with about 3,000 attendees began to get impatient seeing the umpteenth missed opportunity for the locals for getting into the playoff dispute.

With the 1-1 that lit up the scoreboard from the visitors’ goal, the game ended. The locals continue without sleeping in positions of joy, again to a pointwhile the visitors go back without the three points in a game as a visitor but still in promotion.
