Alexander Isak’s honest words – reveals great surprise at Zlatan’s words: “It came as a shock”

Zlatan Ibrahimovic ended his career.
To Alexander Isak’s great surprise.
– It came as a shock, says the attacking star.

After Milan played their last game of the season, Zlatan Ibrahimovic stepped out onto the San Siro pitch to talk to the crowd. Many had expected it to be a departure from Milan – but it would turn out to be much more than just that. Ibrahimovic announced that his career is over.

“I was chocked”

Zlatan Ibrahimovic goes down in history as Sweden’s greatest footballer of all time, and his career is almost unparalleled. Few players have been so successful in so many countries, scored so many goals, and won so many titles. And even for Swedish national team players, the news came as a big surprise.

Alexander Isak sat at home and watched the scenes on TV, and was really surprised by what Ibrahimovic had to say.

– I saw parts of the thanksgiving. It came as a bit of a shock, says Alexander Isak to Expressen. He continues:

– Okay, he’s getting a little old, so not in that way. But it kind of came out of nowhere. I was a bit shocked. He deserves a very nice thank you for all he has done.

Want to see takeoff

Alexander Isak, however, does not have any suggestions on what the withdrawal should look like in Sweden, but he hopes that it will happen.

– I think he got a nice send-off in Milan. From what I’ve seen online and a little bit here and there, I think people have really appreciated him and shown it. In what way he should be thanked in Sweden, and if he is interested in it, it is up to him.

What happens to Zlatan Ibrahimovic next is unclear. The Swede is said to have snagged a role as “club manager” in Milan, where he would act as a link between the playing squad and management. The Swedish Football Association, as well as the national team players, have been clear that they want Ibra in some kind of role, but what that would be – and if Ibrahimovic would be interested in it – the future will tell.
