In just two seasons have Alexander Isak managed to make a strong impression in the Premier League. The first season at Newcastle was jerky and affected by injury problems, but the successful Swedish striker still managed to score 10 league goals.

In the second season, he stepped it up even further, scoring a sensational 21 league goals and taking top spot in the English top-scoring league. Isak also broke a new Swedish record in the Premier League context, when he deleted Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the Swede who scored the most goals ever in the English league.

That has obviously made the 24-year-old hotly sought after around football Europe, but above all by the big clubs in England. In the past, both Arsenal and Tottenham have shown interest in the Swedish goal scorer for the summer transfer window.
Big club hunts
Now a new big club is embarking on the hunt for Isak’s signature. It is about purchasing power Chelsea who are looking for a new and expensive attacking star to build their offensive around.

The English newspaper Daily Mail reports that the London club has already contacted Newcastle about a potential transfer. According to information, there are discussions between the clubs and a transfer fee could land at around 1.5 billion Swedish kronor.
